Well I finally shot for new post today and I could not wait to share it with all of you. It seems like ages since I shot for a blogpost. I was so excited and it felt so good. I realized how much fun it is to blog for fun plus I couldn't stop jumping around in my Maddens. This Diwali I am excited about new collaboration with Steve Madden India.

It might sound crazy, but I have fallen irrevocably in love with these studded Steve Madden flats. It is extremely comfortable and super chic. Steve Madden India has come up with a unique concept "Red Shoe Soiree (RSS" where you can anonymously make candid confessions with their RSS app. Forget anonymous confession, I am making a public confession. I am a shoe whore! My obsession for stilettos has taken a new level. I almost own "70 PAIRS!!" That's right almost 70 pairs of heels and I still crib I do not have any! First thing I do is shop for heels. Well everyone has their own secrets, this is mine. If you are wondering if I bought them this year? Well no.. I am stilettos collector. I have been collecting them since the age of 18. I have maintained each and every pair until today and refuse to part with any of my babies!

Having said that. Do you have any such candid confessions? Well share with me and the world via Steve Madden RSS App. (Click Here!)

Today's outfit is so me - vivid at its best. I love abstract prints, sequins and studs and I thought why not try combining all into one look. A bit edgy, but I think all the items just beautifully fit into the frame like a jigsaw puzzle. Velvet is one of the most happening trend of this season. I picked this skirt from Rowme.com. I just love Romwe limited edition skirt collection. I paired the shirt with blue velvet skirt. Completed the look with studded heels, spikes and colorful quirky bangles. Most of the time when my outfit is edgy, I usually restrain my make up, but this time I went one step ahead and completed the look with bright orange lipstick. The hottest lip shade this season for me is orange. It just brightens up your face and adds a whole new dimension to your face. I managed to match my lipstick and my ring. Went sober on my nails with pastel nail colors.

Hope you liked this week's styling. Tune in next week for more posts. Meanwhile, do let me know what you think of the styling and more importantly if you are a fashion blogger then join the Romwe fashion blogger 2013 team.

I have always been a huge fan of Pepperfry.com. I recently picked up amazing accessories from Pepperfry.com during a discount sale. Best part about Pepperfry.com are the deals and offers that are sent to your email inbox each day. I subscribed to there email updates and each day I get coupon codes and news of items on sale. If you are looking to build a classic wardrobe were each item is an investment, then Pepperfry.com is a great place to start looking for must have pieces for your wardrobe.

Firmoo Sunglasses + Chance to get a free pair of sunglasses.

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are having a great weekend. Recently Firmoo.com sent me a pair of sunglasses. You saw me wearing it in my previous blog post. Check out my thoughts on Firmoo.com and the Cat eye sunglasses and of course a chance to get a free pair for yourself.

< I am wearing..

Sunglasses - Courtesy Firmoo.com [BUY HERE]
Studded Leather Jacket - Forever 21.

Today, sunglasses are one of the most important fashion accessory. Finding a pair of great sunglasses that flatter your face is just as important as finding a pair of perfect shoes. Firmoo.com understands the need of modern women. They offer classic, contemporary and fashion glasses frames to help you tackle the mundane daily chores with a fashionable twist.

Well just a few pointers to remember when you are shopping for sunglasses.

1. Understand your face shape. If your face shape is oval, most frames suit your face structure. If you have round face, then opt for wider frames with angular or rectangular styles. If you have diamond face try oval or square frames. If you have triangle shaped/ squared shaped face then opt for Cat eye sunglasses or Oval frames. Lastly, if you have oblong face opt for round or oval frames.

2. Depending on your hair style choose frames. Soft and curly hair, opt for frames with delicate shapes, rimless frames and translucent colors. You have curly hair then opt for classic small frames. Short hair then geometric shapes look good. If you flaunt a very short hair style then try on bold colors, designs and modern styles. If you have long hair try frames with work with you with your hair tied up or left loose.

Hope these tips will be useful during your next shopping spree. These tips are complied from various internet sources I read few months back. Breeze through Firmoo.com, find a pair of sunglasses which suits your needs. Use the virtual mirror to check which sunglasses suit your face shape. Now get your own pair of Firmoo Sunglassses! That's right Firmoo.com is giving away first frames free for every customer. Click on the below link to get a free pair!

We started this month with floral dress - 3 ways post. The last styling using the floral dress from DRESSSHOP.IN is finally out. Sorry for the lack of post for few days, I have been suffering for severe migraine so I hardly switched on my computer.

There are some days when I just don't feel like dressing up. This outfit basically amplifies my mood during those days. Simple outfit with very little makeup. Floral shirt dress with tan belt and bag, coupled with few statement rings and the look completed with over sized sunglasses and high heels. A simple and perfect outfit to hang out with friends, to movies or to go shopping.

I apologize for the short post. I will be back with more posts. Do let me know what you think of this styling.

Floral Dress - 3 ways (Part II)

Hello Everyone!

Have you ever thought of rocking your floral dress to office? If not hopefully today's post will inspire you to.

I am wearing..

Floral Dress (as a shirt) - Courtesy Dressshop.in (BUY HERE!!)
Beige Formal Skirt- Wills Lifestyle Outlet (Bought during 50% sale for 750 Rs)
Bag - La BELLE -(Bought during sale on Yebhi.com for 565 Rs)
Accessories (Ring and Earrings)- Stilettos Diary Shop
Beige High Heels - Portia (Bought during sale on 99 LABELS for 500 Rs.)
On my nails - Lakme Fast & Fabulous (Shade - 17)
On my lips - Coco Rouge by Chanel (Shade -39)

Have you ever thought of rocking floral prints trend to your office? Well this Dorothy Dress (BUY HERE!) from dressshop.in. is an worthy investment. Not only can you style it as a jacket (SEEN HERE!!) but also as a formal shirt. The print is not overwhelming and it adheres to all the corporate dress code set in Indian companies.

I styled the floral shirt dress with beige skirt I picked up from Wills Lifestyle. I kept the styling simple with beige bag and skirt. I prefer wearing pleasant colors to office. I did add a bit of color via my coral nail paint. I completed the look with a pearl ring and simple stud earrings.

I got few emails asking me about how to dress to work. I have made few points to remember while creating your workplace wardrobe.

1. A white shirt: Worn with smart black trousers and a simple pearl necklace it is goes smart casual. When paired with a black pantsuit it means strictly business.

2. Black pants : You can never have too many of these. Creative types can branch out into longer cropped styles. Also invest in other colors like grey and beige.

3. Low-heeled pumps : Closed-toe styles can go anywhere. While you may be limited to dark colors to match your suits, you can experiment with materials and textures for interest: suede, exotic skins, polished leather. Not everyone is comfortable in high heels plus I prefer to avoid the "clanking" noise caused by high heels while walking in office.

4. Structured handbag. A smooth, black or brown handbag with a structured frame gives you a pulled-together, tailored look. You can always tie a pretty scarf on the handle or attach some charms for a personal touch.

5. Slim belts : Not only will these help in pulling a well tailored look but also add the little pop color required in formal outfits. Go for colors like electric blue, pastel green. Ensure to only style it with a white shirt and black pants.

6. Well fitted skirts : Beige, black grey are the basic neutral colors. You can always style it pleasant color shirts. Grey and baby pink is a lovely color combination.

7. Well fitted black blazer : A blazer can add the required sophistication and business look to any outfit. A black blazer is a must.

8. Pearl accessories : Loud, colorful accessories never seen pleasantly during office meetings. Best alternative is pearl earrings. You can also try simple charmed necklaces, bracelets and rings.

Apart from this you can always wear a dress( ensure the prints aren't loud) and a blazer to give it a business look. What do you think of the styling? I shall wait for all your comments.

P.S. Check out my previous post how I style the same floral dress as a jacket. (CLICK HERE!!!)

Loads of love,

Floral Dress - 3 ways (Part I)

Hello Everyone!

It's time for Wardrobe Wednesday. Its total spring fashion no-brainer; the always versatile floral dress must be celebrated accordingly. This week I shall show you three ways to style the floral dress. One way of styling a floral dress is using it as a jacket.

I am wearing..

Floral Dress (as a jacket) - Courtesy Dressshop.in (BUY HERE!!)
White Jeans - Maxx Retail Outlet (Bought during 50% sale for 700 Rs)
White Tee - Thrifted.
Bag - Birthday Gift.
Accessories (Sunglasses, Chain, Ring and Earrings)- Stilettos Diary Shop
On my nails - Lakme Fast & Fabulous (Shade - 17)
On my lips - Coco Rouge by Chanel (Shade -39)

Whenever summer rolls around, I immediately reach for the flounciest, most colorful floral dress I can find and I found this Dorothy Dress (BUY HERE!) at dressshop.in.

Firstly I have to mention how good the fit of the dress is and their delivery service is just excellent. You get to own your dress in a matter of 3-4 days after ordering the dress. The customer service is very friendly, any queries regarding size, material they help you out immediately. Apart from that they have a door step pick up service (free return) if the outfit doesn't fit you well. Dressshop.in is a worthy website to shop for amazing dresses.

Having said that, this week you guys will be loaded with posts. One way of styling the floral dress is like a jacket on an all-white look. Sheer white looks are a current rage right now but something about all sheer white doesn't appeal to me. Therefore I added a floral jacket to break the sheer white outfit. I paired it few accessories as the print of the dress is quite over whelming and not many accessories go with it. A simple earring, statement chain that blends with the outfit, pearl ring and of course oversized sunglasses to complete the look.

Come back this Saturday to check out how to go from DAY TO NIGHT using this same Floral dress from dressshop.in (BUY HERE!!)

What do you think of the styling? I shall wait for all your comments.
