Hello Everyone.

I have a hectic weekend ahead. I have eye infection :(. So thought I shall finish up with blogger watch post before my eye pain becomes worse.

Time for another Blogger watch. This month blogger to be featured is Kassi of Closet Intervention.

This is what she had to say...

1. Tell us more about yourself (apart from blogging what do you do?).

Well, I am a financial advisor by occupation - meaning I invest people's money. Eventually (a few years down the road) I would like to open my own clothing/accessory boutique. I've been married over 8 years to an awesome man and we have a dog named Kylie.

2 .What is your style mantra?

Whatever you wear, wear it confidently. There is nothing more alluring than confidence. Also, wear pieces that make you happy. Don't wear something just because everyone else is wearing it - what fun is that?

3.When did you discover your sense of style ?

I think I discover something new about my style everyday to be honest, but I didn't start caring about clothing until college. College is when I really got into developing a unique personal style.

4. I love your style, truly an inspiration.. your shopping hubs are???

Anywhere inexpensive. I am a total cheapskate. I love Forever 21, H&M, Charlotte Russe, Express, Macy's, the Goodwill and any other thrift/consignment stores. I love a good bargain.

5. Your fashion icon.

Oooh this one is tough. Currently I am loving Emma Stone, Rachel Bilson, Anne Hathaway, Clemence Poesy and Emma Watson.

6. If I were to ransack your bag what would I find?
Keys, a cell phone, Dr. Pepper chapstick (the old standby), some touch up makeup, my python Steve Madden wallet, a pen and some Doublemint gum.

7. Favorite picks from your wardrobe.
I couldn't begin to pick specific items but the types of things I currently couldn't live without are: blazers, leggings, mini-dresses, boots
and statement necklaces..

8. If you had a wish which celeb , fashion stylist would you want to be?
Rachel Zoe. Oh the Chanel, I die.

9. According to you , must have this season?
Statement Jewelry. The most ordinary thing can be made into something extraordinary with the right jewelry.

10. Lastly , Would you like to add anything else apart from those questions to all ur friends who follow your blog and support you?
There is so much I could say. I am extremely humbled and thankful for all of the people who take the time to read my blog. I started this blog not knowing if anyone would read it so I feel blessed by the number of people who read and comment on it. The comments make me positively giddy.

The blogger who I am featuring this week is fashion blogger from Hyderabad, India. A deep thinker and a big dreamer. Calm, determined and practical, above all... life-lover!

It was a cup of coffee and a spark of madness that inspired her to create a blog, just like a cup of strong espresso, her blog is full of stimulating, strong, rich posts as well as fun filled, humorous, lazy posts like a yummy frappe.

Who is she?? Read on to find out :)

Her name is Chandana. Her blog reflects her personality. I love her work , so thought you guys should also know about her.

This is what she had to say..

1. Tell us more about yourself. (apart from blogging what do you do? )
I am an entrepreneur.. rather am trying to learn the ropes of entrepreneurship! Being a hot-shot business-woman in a crisp suit and high heels, with everyone at my beck and call (kidding :P) was always a dream.. and here I am trying to make it come true :) Work takes up the majority of my time but apart from that, I am a blogger, an artist and an avid reader. Travelling is another thing that I love, I can never get enough of it. As long as I am on the move I am happy :)

2. When did you discover your sense of style?
I discovered my style in college to some extent. Because of restrictions like dress-codes, I couldn't experiment much. It was only after I finished college that I had full freedom - no dress codes + financial independence to buy whatever I want. So that's when I went crazy!

3. When and how did you start your fashion blog?
I started blogging in 2010 simply because I was bored. I dint know what fashion blogging was until I stumbled upon a few blogs. Until then I used to write about my life and everyday stuff.. but after discovering fashion blogs there was no looking back! I fell head over heels in love with the concept and here I am now!

4.how did you come up with your blog name??
My blog is a mix of fashion related and personal stuff. So I wanted a name that would somehow combine the two and describe me as a whole. 'First avenue' is the street where I stay and I have a lot of memories here… childhood memories, great times with friends, falling in love, getting to know myself, family get-togethers, growing up - every significant event has happened here. I have changed a lot but no matter where I end up living a part of me will always belong to 'the girl at first avenue'. So it seemed like the perfect name for my blog :)

5. Favourite picks from your wardrobe.
My grey skinnies (they go with any and every size, shape and color of top)
All of my blazers and cardigans (without them my outfits become so bleh)
My white mid length skirt (I must have worn this in ten different ways and it still has potential)
My little denim dress (again.. a very versatile piece)
My SHOES! (Need i say more? :D)

6. If I were to ransack your bag what would I find?
My wallet with money and cards
A pink makeup pouch with all the girly essentials
Hand sanitizer, perfume/deo
ipod, car keys, a novel,
spare earrings and bracelets (i always have these.. i don't know why!)
Two pairs of sun-glasses
And some other random papers, receipts and stuff!

7. According to you, Must have this winter season
A turtle-neck sweater in any color - they keep you warm, show off all your curves and can be styled in many ways
Colored tights or colored jeans
Woolen scarves - these are a perfect alternative to heavy woolen coats, for winters in cities in india where it is not severely cold.. It keeps you sufficiently warm and at the same time adds some zing to your outfits!
Boots (obviously)
Collared necklaces - I am loving this trend right now!

8. Your style mantra.
Be comfortable and keep it simple!

9.Would you like to add anything else apart from those questions to all ur friends who follow your blog and support you?

Good Morning everyone!

Few days back I was religiously stalking the internet to find newbie bloggers who love blogging and made great progress in few months. I happened to come across this blog called Coming Unstitched (love the blog title).I was so thrilled to see her blog because she had a similar segment like mine. So I sent her an email asking if she love to be featured in my blogger watch. Little did I know I would land up making a wonderful friend by the name... (U guys need to click here to read more.. to know who she is :) )

Sarah Stright. She is a fashion blogger from New Castle , Pennsylvania United States. This time I thought I will add a personal touch to my Blogger Watch so I asked Sarah few questions. This is what she had to say..


1. When and how did the idea of the blog start ?
It started because a good friend of mine suggested that I begin it to share my advice with the blogging world. I've been looking to get back into the fashion industry since leave about 4 years ago and this was really just an outlet for me. I began blogging this past August and have been hooked ever since.

2. I love your blog title :) how did you come up with the name Coming Unstitched?
Coming Unstitched is really just the thought of opening up and being who I am. Rather than being stitched and shy, I decided to let everyone know who I really am inside and where my passions lie.

3. One thing you love about blogging and one thing you don't ?
I love meeting new people and being influenced by their styles. It does get tough when I'm super busy or when I have a bit of a case of writer's block. But the response to my blog has been overwhelming and I'm so happy that people are enjoying it.

4. Describe your blogging style?
I just blog about whatever strikes me that day. Whether it be inspiration from magazines or tv shows or if I am thinking about the future that day. I also like to keep in mind what my readers like to see on my blog and try to satisfy them as best as I can.

5.If I were to evade your handbag what all would I find in it ?
Surprisingly, not much! I keep my wallet and checkbook, my cell phone, a few tubes of lipgloss and some pens and paper. If I'm going to be away from home for awhile I'll toss my makeup bag in my purse just in case I need touchups.

6. Well apart from blogging.. What is your favourite past time ?
I love watching football with my fiance. And I love spending time with my family. Lately my favorite thing to do has been to just sit around and relax since I've been super busy.

7. Few words about yourself which is not there on your blog.
I am incredibly passionate about music as well as fashion. I love discovering new bands and watching them grow whether they become household names or not. I am also incredibly devoted to my friends and family. They make me who I am and I appreciate them every day.

9. One funny childhood incident you will never forget.
One day when it was raining, my younger brother and I really wanted to go swimming. So my mom brought our kiddie pool inside our house and filled it up with the hose! We had a great time... until we had to figure out how to EMPTY the pool!!

Well I came to know she is engaged!! Congrats Sarah. I have made a collage for you. ( Hope you like it :) )

Its Saturday!

Good morning everyone.

The first blogger to be featured on my fashion blog is....

Smrithi Rao and her blog is called as Vintage Obsession.

When I was searching for fashion bloggers in India , the first website which popped up on google search was Smrithi's. She has been blogging since January 2010 (vow... almost 2 years , congrats on that Smrithi )

When I first contacted her about featuring her blog on Blogger watch , she was very nice and accepted it immediately even though she knew I was a newbie in this circuit. Few of her best works are ..

I love this photo. The skirt is vibrant and the pic is stunning.

When asked whats the inspiration for her blog this was what she told .."My brother gifted me a really nice camera on my birthday and since then I have been going overboard clicking pictures of absolutely everything. After a point people i knew where tired of me clicking pictures of them and hence started clicking pictures of myself and this is how my blog, Vintage Obsession began".

Her style mantra is " Fashion fades but style is eternal".

She is an Software Engineer works in software firm when she is not blogging and designing clothes under her label Vintage Obsession.

Her four favorite fashion accessories are bags , head accessories , scarfs , shoes and more shoes (totally can relate to her shoe obsession).

Her key pieces in her wardrobe are her tribal belt , a pair of brocade boots ,  red trousers from Mango , black maxi skirt and a pair of finger-less lace gloves.

Four things she can't live without - books , movies on her laptop , coffee and her lovely shoes.

She has many accolades in her kitty. Interview with Smashion. Cosmopolitan ,blogs to book mark or something like that.Posts in the Grazia Magazine, Society Magazine and Interview with Radio Indigo. Please check out the below Url for detailed information :)
