I recently was invited to attend Bangalore fashion blogger event organised by Wooplrin association with Avirate and TLB (The leather boutique). For those who didn't know about these two stores, located at one corner of Indiranagar they offer amazing street style clothes.

Trying to cover the excess weight, I chose this long leopard tunic, paired it with transparent stockings. To look taller pair black pumps with stockings. I paired the outfit with Mary Jane pumps. To add color, I added peach blazer and coral accessories. Finished the look with simple makeup, orange nails and orange lips (just can't get enough of this color!). I know, another leopard outfit! What can I say? I am obsessed with leopard prints.

Loads of love,

Entrenched.

Hello Everyone!

Wishing all a very Merry Christmas and I hope the new year will bring in loads of happiness for you and your family :)

This week, post is about styling trench coats (finally the winter is upon us!) and also how to style trench coat to look few pounds thinner.

I am wearing...

Coral Lace Dress - courtesy Rooja.in (Rooja is a member only site. It takes week's time to get invite, but for Stilettos Diary readers click on the link to get immediate access..

Bat shaped Bag - courtesy Oasap (BUY HERE!)
Pink Trench Coat - Show off (Bought during 60% sale for Rs.1705. Sale is still on.)
Heels - courtesy Steve Madden India.(Buy here!)
Bracelet/ Ring - Stilettos Diary Shop.
ALDO Rose Gold Watch - courtesy Majorbrands.in [BUY HERE]
On My nails - Pastel colors (Salmon, grey, coral, mint green, lavender) - Faces
On my lips - Chanel Rouge Allure Shade 96- Excentrique
Sunglasses - Aldo (Bought during sale, as seen in many posts.)

The best thing about buying dress is I can restyle it so many ways. As a tunic, top and skirt. Therefore, most of the time I invest in fitted dress. I always have a list of things I need to make a classic wardrobe, one of the items was coral dress. It is really hard to find this color in India! After months of searching, I found this dress on sale in Rooja.in. Dress has grey lace detailing on the neck, back and hem of the dress. Perfect for party as well as every day wear. It's very important to me that I can style the outfit for special occasions as well as every day use.

The reason I am in love with Rooja.com is because Rooja's USP lies in the products it sells which are unique and design focused. Most of the item sourcing comes from international and Indian brands which are hard to find in India and extremely desirable for casual daily discovery. Best thing about Rooja.com is that it does not focus on the name brands which are easily available on other websites rather they look for really interesting and unique products from independent designers. Rooja is a member only site. It takes week's time to get invite, but for Stilettos Diary readers, click on the link to get immediate access..

Trench coats are a must have in a girl's closet. They are timeless and have a universal appeal through their ability to adapt and evolve with the latest trends. The best things about the trench coat is that you can really personalize how you wear it-left casually open, buttoned all the way, knotted, or belted-plus there is a slew of chic styles to choose from. You can invest in classic trench coats in the color khaki, beige, ink blue, cream and black, but I opted for this unique color pinkish coral trench coat. It adds the required color to brighten up dull winter.

1. Trench as a dress - totally buttoned up over black tights and amazing heels. Keep your hair and make up glossy and warm.
2. Trench glam- Trench coat, simple shift dress with bare legs and contrast heels.
3. Trench with causal touch - Style trench coat with jeans and tee. Complete the look with high pony and statement necklaces.
4. Trench Layering - A tunic, paired with thick leggings, boots and complete the look with trench coat and scarf. You can add rock star treatment to the trench with a seventies style hat, killer black ankle boots and pushed up sleeves.

Hope these styling tips help you and you will invest in trench coats. Always remember to look slimmer, a well-fitted trench makes a lot of difference. Clinch the trench coat at the waist to add definition. It gives shape to the trench coat. Ensure the trench coat is not thick, the thicker the material it adds pounds.

I have styled trench coat in two ways. As I previously told, I have managed to put on loads of weight. Still struggling to get back in shape. The dress is a bit tight, so I paired it with a fitted trench coat. I love the vibrant contrast of coral and pink color. Added a dash of neon with my Aria Steve Madden Heels and neon pink stud. Paired a black bag to match the buttons of the trench.

For the second look, I am wearing trench as a dress. I added shape to the trench with a big black belt which not only gives a sophisticated classy look to the outfit, but also gives shape to the trench coat.

Do let me know what you think about the styling. I will wait for all your comments.

What I related to the brand IKNOW is that it treats each garment as an art form, infusing urban touch to the varied cultural infused references. It not only brings high end, quality clothes to every day person, but also puts across the idea that high end style is possible at affordable prices. A different approach which I believe very few designers take. Most designers stand for high end couture designs. To be honest, I prefer brands/labels which focus on every day styles. Make each day your personal runaway! That's the ideology I believe. IKNOW believes in providing every person a unique item to cherish in their wardrobe and Siddartha and Timsy recently launched their online website. Fashion just one click away! Check out more about IKNOW:

I always loved mixing prints. This week I tried my hand in mixing floral and leopard prints. This combination is match made in heaven. Both prints blend in together to create a beautiful canvas of colors and patterns. I think by now, all of you understand my love affair with animal prints. I always try to infuse leopard or zebra prints in most of my outfits.

I have styled the floral print shirt dress as a jacket (why? I will get to that part of the story at the end of the post) with a black top and basic dark blue jeggings. To create print contrast and provide shape to the jacket, I added a leopard belt to accentuate the thinnest part of my body a.k.a waist. Completed the look with loads of gold jewelery, leopard high heels to compliment the belt and a green clutch bag. I infused more color to the outfit with nail paints. I added mint accents to bright orange nail color in the form of alternating vertical and horizontal stripes.(Go wild with nail colors and patterns!)

Why I styled the dress as a jacket? Well of late, due to my medication and lack of exercise, I have piled on bucket loads of weight. Almost 6 kgs weight gain. I decided not to let my non ability to fit into most of my clothes to hamper my mood till I get back into shape. I am simply restyling most of my items. Therefore, I will be writing series of post on "HOW TO DRESS 5-8 Kgs lighter". Let's begin series one.

1. If you have an hour-glass figure and fat thighs like me, try to wear outfits which compliment your body type. Therefore, I usually prefer skirts and dresses to jeans. Jeans usually bring out your shape so it tends to make you look bit plump.

2. Thin jackets are one of the ways to hide your flaws. The thicker the fabric, more plump you look. A well fitted jacket helps provide a proper shape. Always wear a belt to accentuate your thinnest part of body. This not only provides illusion of smaller figure, but also provides shape to the jacket/outfit.

3. Bell bottoms help you create the illusion of smaller thighs and height when paired with high heels. You can also wear skin fit jeans, but ensure you wear a long top to cover the flab.

4. Take notice of where your top meets your pants.Anything that cuts you off at the waist adds pounds. You will look slimmer if your top and bottom meet just below the waist.

5. Opt for wider belts than skinny belts. You can hide love handles easily with it and it will also make you look slimmer.

I have incorporated above ideas into my outfit. I opted for wider belt to accentuate my waist (slimmest part of my body) and also to define shape to jacket. I ensured that my top meets the jeans just below the waist. I have used a thin silhouette jacket. Since I am wearing skin fit jeans, I ensured the jacket is long enough to cover my flaws. Keeping these tips you can infuse trends and also dress according to your body type.

Hope you liked the styling and enjoyed this long post after a very long time. Next week, I will be back with more posts about how to dress 5-8 kgs lighter.

This post is very special to me because my best friend Shreya and her sister Dhatri took the photos and we shot this post at their house roof top edge. This is the same place I spent during college days. Brought back loads of memories and also my fear of heights! Nevertheless had great fun shooting for this post..

Loads of love,

Les Voyages.

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to take break from the usual outfit posts. Today's post features three different outfits. No posing, just photos taken on the road!

Few weeks ago, me and my school friends went to Dubai. It was almost a year and half since I had gone on vacation! This trip was a welcome break and I had an awesome time.

Most of the time I get questions like do I dress the same way the photos appear on the blog? To be honest, Yes! I am always overdressed no matter where I go. I love accessories and I just don't wear it for photo shoots for blog. Most of the time I am in high heels. Only on rare occasions (such of these) when I have to walk for 6 hours or more I wear flats. I wear bright lipsticks usually. I love wearing over sized sunglasses and skirts. I keep restyling my outfits to match my mood. In short, the blog, facebook page and instagram page is a reflection of my personality.

Look 1 : What I am wearing :

Red Ballerina - Bought in Dubai (Got it during sale cost me 20 dirs , about Rs.300)
Poker bracelet, flying bird statement ring - Stilettos Diary shop.
Electric Blue gold chain bag - Brigade (Got it Rs. 520)

I just love American Apparel store. I am tired of Burgundy pants, leather skirts and shirts. Wanted something in burgundy color, which is not that common. Alas! American Apparel is my pit stop when I need beautiful colors in maxi skirts. The skirt is extremely comfortable and trendy. Perfect during travelling. Who says you need to be in floaters and half pants while travelling? Do check out American Apparel store for more colorful skirts.

Simple, causal outfits that take you from day to night. Not only these outfits are comfortable for walking, jumping and running, but also extremely stylish. Hope you liked the styling of the three outfits. Do let me know what you think. The next time you are traveling remember there are trendy ways to conquer new places :D

P.S. I the shoe chandelier. It comprises of all branded shoes in the world. I so want all the heels in it!

Big thanks to my friend Shreya for the lovely photos.
