Yellow Summer.

Hello everyone.

Time for Wardrobe Wednesday.

What I am wearing
Yellow skirt - Lifestyle (splash collections)
Faux fur woolen jacket - Lifestyle (splash collections)
Purple high heels - Marks and Spencer.
Accessories - Thrifted from street shopping in Malleswaram.

This week's inspiration is the yellow skirt I thrifted from Lifestyle splash collections. (during buy 2 get 1 free offer). The yellow skirt and faux fur woolen jacket cost me 1000Rs each.

I tried to color block yellow, grey and purple. Yellow is synonymous with summer. I paired it up with grey ( color which I usually associate with winter, dull and boring days) and added colorful accessories to brighten the look even more.

The high heel is from Marks and Spencer. It is quite old and I honestly don't remember how much they cost. I picked it up 2 years ago when me and my friend Nikhila usually go shopping during new year sales to Mantri Mall. It''s our yearly ritual to reminiscence the good old college days.

The accessories I picked up during thrift shopping in streets of Malleswaram.

Hello Everyone.

I have a hectic weekend ahead. I have eye infection :(. So thought I shall finish up with blogger watch post before my eye pain becomes worse.

Time for another Blogger watch. This month blogger to be featured is Kassi of Closet Intervention.

1. Tell us more about yourself (apart from blogging what do you do?).

Well, I am a financial advisor by occupation - meaning I invest people's money. Eventually (a few years down the road) I would like to open my own clothing/accessory boutique. I've been married over 8 years to an awesome man and we have a dog named Kylie.

2 .What is your style mantra?

Whatever you wear, wear it confidently. There is nothing more alluring than confidence. Also, wear pieces that make you happy. Don't wear something just because everyone else is wearing it - what fun is that?

3.When did you discover your sense of style ?

I think I discover something new about my style everyday to be honest, but I didn't start caring about clothing until college. College is when I really got into developing a unique personal style.

4. I love your style, truly an inspiration.. your shopping hubs are???

Anywhere inexpensive. I am a total cheapskate. I love Forever 21, H&M, Charlotte Russe, Express, Macy's, the Goodwill and any other thrift/consignment stores. I love a good bargain.

5. Your fashion icon.

Oooh this one is tough. Currently I am loving Emma Stone, Rachel Bilson, Anne Hathaway, Clemence Poesy and Emma Watson.

6. If I were to ransack your bag what would I find?
Keys, a cell phone, Dr. Pepper chapstick (the old standby), some touch up makeup, my python Steve Madden wallet, a pen and some Doublemint gum.

7. Favorite picks from your wardrobe.
I couldn't begin to pick specific items but the types of things I currently couldn't live without are: blazers, leggings, mini-dresses, boots
and statement necklaces..

8. If you had a wish which celeb , fashion stylist would you want to be?
Rachel Zoe. Oh the Chanel, I die.

9. According to you , must have this season?
Statement Jewelry. The most ordinary thing can be made into something extraordinary with the right jewelry.

10. Lastly , Would you like to add anything else apart from those questions to all ur friends who follow your blog and support you?
There is so much I could say. I am extremely humbled and thankful for all of the people who take the time to read my blog. I started this blog not knowing if anyone would read it so I feel blessed by the number of people who read and comment on it. The comments make me positively giddy.

The Leopard Mullet.

Hello everyone.

Its time for Wardrobe Wednesday.

I am wearing

This week's inspiration is the velvet leopard mullet skirt which I thrifted for 1000Rs from Lifestyle (Splash collections). I bought it during buy 2 GET 1 free sale offer. (I bought 2 items worth 1500 each and I got this skirt worth 1500 free).

I think people who are bottom heavy like me should definitely pass the mullet skirt. It definitely makes the lower body look more bulky.

To tone down the bulky effect I am wearing stockings, leopard high heels to give an long elongated legs and jacket.

The Zara jacket is old as seen in Rock chic and Vintage Blur.The leopard high heels (if you notice clearly you can actually see a leopard face on them!) are from yebhi.com for 550Rs (during 80% sale). Worth every penny!

The Neon pink bag is old as seen in "A Furry Affair". Added a touch a neon with pink pashmina shawl. The metallic wrist band is actually belt which broke so I revamped it to an arm band.

I completed the look with my IDEE sunglasses.

My 4th Mode Interview and Featured on Reader's Look for Less.

Hello Everyone.

I am suffering from excessive sleep disorder today! I was so tired that I quit doing the Herculean task of cleaning my wardrobe and went back to sleep.

In the evening managed to get myself out from the house to shoot with Vignesh for next post :)

Metallic Mayhem - My Qvendo Outfit.

Firstly thank you so much Qvendo.com for this outfit. It was love at first sight. The silhouette is so soft, comfortable and as light as a feather.

The photos of Vignesh were so amazing, I had a tough time choosing.Therefore I landed up uploading almost all the photos! Thank you so much Vignesh :)

I decided to go with a Metallic outlook for this outfit. I teamed up the dress with metallic belt from Lifestyle for 150 Rs( during their 50% sale).

The metallic accessories(both are chains, one I transformed into a bracelet) and Metallic peep toe heels are old as seen in Black, white and metallic me, A furry affair. The metallic accessories are from yebhi.com. The peep toe heels are from Catwalk bought during 50% sale. The heels cost me 800Rs and accessories around 450Rs.

To brighten up the outfit I added faux croc purple leather wallet( borrowed from my mom)and bright makeup from M.A.C cosmetics(Suddenly my new found obsession is purple color) . I used their Metallic purple eyeliner and added Metallic purple pigments. The lip gloss is from Revlon.
