Green Fever
Hello everyone.
First of all wish you guys a very happy and colorful Diwali.
Its Wednesday and this week's theme on wardrobe wednesday is colors...
I am wearing dress from Chemistry which I got during end of season sale for 399 Rs (turns out this dress was a staple for me throughout the months of summer , winter , fall.. okay in short staple dress through out the year!). To add colours I wore my green sweater which I picked up from shop in Commerical Street for 1000 Rs. I shall disclose the shop name in my shopping guide which I shall post in few days. So keep checking my blog out for more on shopping guide :)
To give shape to the dress I wore a black belt which I had got with one of my top ,gifted by my friends. To avoid excessive colors I carried black buckle purse from Van Heusen.
I wore my electric blue heels (also bought from Van Heusen). Actually , I got the purse and the blue heels during 50% sale. Together it costed me round 1200Rs. Worth every penny I paid. I just love Van Heusen store especially the formal wear (its like my bible store when I need formals).
I added my favourite peacock earrings which has shades of green , electric blue (goes very well with green sweater) and my present love of my life "Green Aviators" (priceless) to complete my entire outfit. Well everyone suggested me to buy a black ray ban avaitor (way over my budget but definitely I will buy them one day ) instead I settled for this Fasttrack version. The color was completely different from the other avaitors I had seen. Avaitors are a must have this season.
Let me know what you guys think about the outfit. Once again wishing everyone a very happy and prosperous Diwali.
Loads of love,
Blogger Watch Saturday
Its Saturday!
Good morning everyone.
The first blogger to be featured on my fashion blog is....
Smrithi Rao and her blog is called as Vintage Obsession.
When I was searching for fashion bloggers in India , the first website which popped up on google search was Smrithi's. She has been blogging since January 2010 (vow... almost 2 years , congrats on that Smrithi )
When I first contacted her about featuring her blog on Blogger watch , she was very nice and accepted it immediately even though she knew I was a newbie in this circuit. Few of her best works are ..
I love this photo. The skirt is vibrant and the pic is stunning.
When asked whats the inspiration for her blog this was what she told .."My brother gifted me a really nice camera on my birthday and since then I have been going overboard clicking pictures of absolutely everything. After a point people i knew where tired of me clicking pictures of them and hence started clicking pictures of myself and this is how my blog, Vintage Obsession began".
Her style mantra is " Fashion fades but style is eternal".
She is an Software Engineer works in software firm when she is not blogging and designing clothes under her label Vintage Obsession.
Her four favorite fashion accessories are bags , head accessories , scarfs , shoes and more shoes (totally can relate to her shoe obsession).
Her key pieces in her wardrobe are her tribal belt , a pair of brocade boots , red trousers from Mango , black maxi skirt and a pair of finger-less lace gloves.
Four things she can't live without - books , movies on her laptop , coffee and her lovely shoes.
She has many accolades in her kitty. Interview with Smashion. Cosmopolitan ,blogs to book mark or something like that.Posts in the Grazia Magazine, Society Magazine and Interview with Radio Indigo. Please check out the below Url for detailed information :)
I love her style ,her daring attitude to experiment with loads of colors , bandinis and mixing Indian and Western wear to create fusion outfits. Smrithi you are truly an inspiration.

Wardrobe Wednesday
Every week I will put up a look which looks very fashionable but the truth being they are clothes got during sales or clothes which dint burn my pockets !! So in short million dollar looks which does not burn your pockets.
I personally feel that brands don't define style but its the way you carry of your 100 Rs skirt or 10,000 Rs skirt. Style is about reflecting your personality. The clothes I wear on wardrobe wednesday are not branded but nevertheless very chic and elegant.
I got the dress from Chemistry during end of season sale. It just costed me 399rs. I got the jacket from a shop in Cunningham road called cold rust. They have an excellent collection of jackets. The jacket costed me 900Rs.
The bag I picked up from linking road in Mumbai. I love linking road in Mumbai amazing stuff at good prices if you know how to bargain. It costed me around 350 Rs. Guess what!! I found the same bag in Reliance trendz for whopping 1400 rs. (rip off!!!)
I picked up the shoes from bata during 70 % off sale. It costed me around 500 Rs. Great find and value for money I spent on it.
Please let me know what you think about the wardrobe Wednesday concept. Leave a comment and voice your opinion.
Sorry the pics are not great.I took it from my phone. Better photos from next post.

vintage blur...
Hello Everyone! This is my first blog and my first look. The look is called as Vintage Blur.. The skirt which I picked up from the vintage store is the inspiration for this look.
I love the skirt , its simple and elegant. I paired it up with basic white tee. To add little twist i wore my zara jacket differently (off shoulder ) to make it look like a top.
I added the brown belt (must have in any girl's wardrobe) . For color I wore my favorite red stiletto from Van heusen. Finished the look with a beautiful vintage chain from my mom's collection.
Well , little more about my red stiletto . It is the inspiration behind my blog layout. I have made a poll .Please vote and let me know what you think about the blog layout and design.
I would really like to thank Vignesh R for his valuable time and effort in making my photos look good :) .I just love the vintage feel he has added to all the pics.
I would also like to thank Sriram Chandrasekhar for the initial layout of the blog and for coming up with the website name.
